The exact name you want to protect, your logo if you already have one, and a short description of what your business does. That is enough to start. Not having a logo yet is not a problem.
You get an automatic acknowledgement by email. Then a member of the firm reviews your case and comes back with a concrete assessment: whether the mark is viable, which class fits, and what it would cost.
Our fee is USD 500 plus VAT per mark and per class, and it includes the official IMPI fees, the availability search, drafting and prosecution. It takes four to six months when there are no objections.
